We’re going to take a quick break from gift guides and start the wheels turning on cookie baking. I’m rounding up a list of favorites here with this Christmas Cookie Round Up 2017.
As usual, I need an extra week after Thanksgiving before I even think about Christmas. I think there should be five or six weeks between the two holidays. That would give me more time to bake, more time to decorate, more time to celebrate and more time to relax. So, can we just make that extra time a thing? :)
I love each and every one of these cookies. Most of them are long running annual traditions, some are newer. Today, I’ve got everything from drop cookies, cut outs and bars to molded cookies. I know you’ll find at least one new favorite on the list!
Soft Gingerbread Cookies. Soft, sink your teeth into it cookie with a nice balance of warm spices. Orange icing complements this delicious holiday treat!
Spiced Shortbread mixes up in one bowl and bakes up to a lovely buttery, crisp but tender cookie that has the added warmth of cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
Orange Chocolate Chip Shortbread. Rolled thicker for a softer bite. Flavored with fresh orange and chocolate. Delicious plain or drizzled with orange icing.
Chocolate Toffee Biscotti. Crispy biscotti with toffee and chocolate both in and on the cookie. Perfect for dunking into your favorite hot beverage!
Slice and Bake Cheesecake Cookies. Cream cheese, fresh citrus and a nutty graham coating make these cookies reminiscent of a slice of cheesecake.
Eggnog Kringla. A light, cakey Scandinavian cookie with a delicate eggnog flavor, topped with dusting of confectioner’s sugar and freshly grated nutmeg.
Italian Biscotti. The very best recipe for this traditionally soft and tender iced vanilla cookie.
Classic Butter Spritz Cookies. My favorite recipe for a tender all butter spritz.
Raspberry White Chocolate Almond Blondies. A sweet, buttery, chewy blondie filled with raspberry jam, flavored and topped with almonds. A holiday favorite!
Andes Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies. A classic cookie made with a classic candy. Perfectly chewy and filled with crème de menthe chocolate baking chips.
Minty Cocoa Fudge Sandwich Cookies. A tender chocolate cookie filled with a creamy, rich and minty fudge .
Minty Cocoa Snowballs. A chocolate peppermint twist on classic Russian teacakes with Andes mint chips. Make them with nuts or without!
Peppermint Brownie Bark. Instead of candy, make this deliciously thin, crispy but chewy, peppermint brownie treat! With free printable gift tags!
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. A hearty, slightly chewy, soft, yet crispy around the edges, thick, sink your teeth into it delicious chocolate chip cookie!
Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies. A soft, dense, delicious cookie flavored with just a hint of cocoa and then mellowed with malt.
Soft Chewy Peanut Butter Chip Cookies. A satisfyingly thick and chewy cookie, drizzled with melted chocolate.Okay, then. That concludes the Christmas Cookie Round Up 2017. I think that’s enough to get you started. I’m working on some new cookie recipes that I hope to share soon. Until then…the count down is on!
Let’s get baking!
